Kiehl's Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner Review

I have been using Kiehl's products on and off for about three years now and I have yet to complain about any of them! I am paranoid about my makeup removal regimen and I always have to use a toner to remove excess dirt and makeup. This Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner is perfect in doing just that, but it soothes my skin afterwards as well. The alcohol-free formula leaves my face clean without that icky tight and dry feeling. I use this toner twice a day, in the morning after washing my face and again in the evening after removing my makeup.

Calendula being one of the key ingredients is oil extracted from the marigold flower (pictured above) and is known for its soothing property. Combined with allantoin, an extract from the comfrey plant, this formula reduces redness in your skin. I personally always have this streak of redness in the middle of my forehead, and I have to say that after using this toner, the red streak has reduced somewhat. The last key ingredient is great burdock, a medicinal plant that is widely used and known in Asian countries. Great burdock (root extract) is used to treat skin conditions but in this particular toner's case, it helps to improve dry skin.

Another thing that I love about this amber liquid is the petals that are infused in the bottle, it might look a bit weird at first but I find it a quirky gimmick of Kiehl's to emphasize on their natural ingredients. The smell is not too herbal-ly but rather more like a calming tea and therefore quite acceptable for those who have a sensitive smell! The amount of 250 ml is more than enough to last you at least three months, as you don't need a lot per use.

For those who are troubled with oily skin during these Spring/Summer months, don't worry as this toner will help battle the excess oil!
